Mrs. Wishy Washy

This week we read the book Mrs. Wishy Washy which is a kindergarten classic. The students have been acting out the story and pretending to be the animals and Mrs. Wishy Washy herself. We will be making puppets this week and sending them home so you  can practice retelling together. This is an important skill in oral language and sequencing. These are photos of a small group of students acting out the story.

Playdough for December

We still need 2 volunteers for December playdough! Send me an email if you can help out!  This is the month we need the most because we will be playing in the gingerbread bakery!  We will need it right after Thanksgiving. Thanks!

Q was Missing!

Don't worry we found him!  Thanks to the help of all the kindergartners, Q is back where he belongs!
Here is what happened!
We were lettercising and when we got to Q we realized he was missing!
We looked all over the classroom to make sure he didn't just fall down.
Then we found out that all the kindergarten classes were missing their Q's too!  We decided to go on a QUEST to find Q!

Q left clues in all different parts of the school!

Finally he led us to the cafeteria. There was a clue on the curtain!

We opened the curtain and all the Q's were hiding in the back of the stage!
We found them!!  We were finally able to finish lettercising all together... with Q!
We went back to our classroom and found that there were letters all over the walls and furniture!  We went on a letter hunt to see if we could find all the letters in the alphabet!

What a fun day in kindergarten!!!
