SNOW FUN!

100th Day of School

We had a great day celebrating the 100th day of school. Your children have learned so much in 100 days, it amazes me!  We went on a number hunt searching for the numbers 1-100 around the classroom. We flipped a coin 100 times, tried to build a tower using 100 cups. We also had a visit from Mrs. Kinnally's 100 year old great grandmother!  She looks great for her age. She sang a 100th day song with us joined in on the fun. Here are some pics of a few of the things we did!

How To Writing Unit

We kicked off our writing unit with a bang. I taught the kids HOW TO make an ice cream cone by making an ice cream cone... for each of them!  That got their attention!  We made a video of the steps as I was making the cone. Then we watched the video over and over as we wrote a how to piece together.  How to writing is teaching someone how to do something that you are an expert on.  It includes a "things you need" page,  all the steps and tips or hints.  I will share them with you at conferences in April.

Pet Sleepover!

Right before the Pet Store closed we had a pet sleepover.  The Kindergartners put their pets to bed before we left for the day complete with blankets, pillows and kisses. BUT... the pets didn't seem like they got a good night sleep. They must have been up all night playing in our classroom because when we came in the next day this is how we found them!

They were not tucked in anymore!  Screams of excitement filled the room as they found their pet in our classroom!  I love my job💓
