The Gingerbread Man!!!!

What an exciting day in kindergarten! We were reading the book Gingerbread Man Loose in the School  together and while I was reading the Gingerbread Man popped his head in the window! Initially, I didn't believe them and asked  them to sit quietly while I was reading. Eventually there was no stopping them!

We chased him down the hall and into the cafeteria!

He went down to the other classes and teased them too!  They joined us in the cafeteria!

He was a little shy so we quieted down and he came out to talk with us!

We asked him some questions and he answered them. He loves coming to visit us at GES!

Mad Science

Last week we had an amazing assembly called Mad Science. The presenter taught us all about solids, liquids and gasses with some really fun experiments!

Gingerbread Man Letters!

This week we wrote letters to the Gingerbread Man.  When we were reading with a 4th grade class in our classroom on Tuesday, Mrs. Sim called in over the loudspeaker. She said there was a special delivery.  The Gingerbread man sent a package with 20 letters and some gingerbread cookies!  Our buddies read the letters to us and the Gingerbread man answered all of our questions.  It was so much fun!

The Hour of Code

During our Library time last week we participated in the Hour of Code.  This is an international movement to make sure all students get to experience coding, also knows as computer programming. Mrs. Spooner-Smith Class came to the library to help us figure out what to do. The kindergartners loved it. For more info on coding, the Hour of Code website is code.org
